J'aime pas les JRPGs, ça a jamais été mon truc pourtant j'ai déjà essayé de me forcer mais bon.
Et bah je suis content de m'être forcé à nouveau pour Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 parce que j'ai passé la journée dessus et j'ai pas vu le temps passer. J'adore le jeu!

spoke to badru, the indie dev who recently decided to pull a game he considers his "baby" from xbox in solidarity with bds. he told me the team has received such enthusiastic support that they've already made back money lost, and he hopes other indies will follow their lead
"A lot of developers are on contracts or under situations where this would be a bigger decision for them to make. But now I see some other indies realizing that this is an option, a way to show solidarity with BDS,” he said. “So I do hope to see other indies taking their work off of Xbox. There's so many people like me where being on Xbox is not making or breaking your ability to survive, and it just feels gross." In the meantime, Badru is just glad to see that people care. "I know the gaming community has two very different faces, but the side of it that I see the most, especially among indie developers, is very progressive, cares a lot about peace and justice, and does not like to see what's been going on in Palestine,” he said. “People have been really enthusiastically positive about [Tenderfoot Tactics’ removal from the Xbox store]. It's been really nice to see."

I love making music for games. 2023-2024 saw 5 projects I was working on get cancelled, and their studios shut down, and I haven't written a note since June.*

Title art from "Tchia", by Awaceb, a BAFTA, Game Award, and G.A.N.G. Award-winning open-world adventure game set in a fantastical version of New Caledonia. I had the privilege of composing its original score, designing its playable ukulele and rhythm-game sections, and composing a dozen original songs in French and Drehu with the lyrical assistance of Marilou Lopez-Aguilera. I also designed and implemented the interactive score in FMod. Title art for “For The King II”, by IronOak Games. A fantasy turn-based, tabletop-inspired game. I wrote a medieval/early music/renaissance-inspired score and worked with our own in-house Unity audio solution to implement it. It is currently nominated for three G.A.N.G. Awards for Best Music in an Indie Game, Best Original Song, and Music of the Year. Title art for “Ambition: A Minuet in Power”, by Joy Manufacturing Co. A roguelike visual novel set in Paris on the eve of the French Revolution. I wrote hours of period music using a variety of historically-accurate ensembles, produced live out of piecemeal recordings recorded in home studios during the height of the pandemic, and implemented with sophisticated branching interactive paths in FMod to support the narratively-focused gameplay. We won an Indiecade Award for Excellence in Audio Design, and garnered three G.A.N.G. Awards nominations. Title art for “Mythgard”, by Rhino Games. A mythologically-infused cyberpunk dystopian collectable card game, Mythgard won a G.A.N.G. Award for Best Original Soundtrack (and three other nominations), and features hours of cinematics and a custom-designed interactive music implementation solution that flexes from native-run executables on mobile and desktop devices to web-browser based play.

Je dis ça pour vous, mais en vrai je dis ça surtout pour moi. Parce que j'ai jamais eu aussi peur.
