It's a ploy to get more views and I hate it. They want their video to play over and over and over again while you sit and read the caption, because each play gets them more views which = more money for them.

Also, some of my punk-ass friends made friends with some of Against Me! (I think the band members were just a little older than my slightly-older friends?) and I remember going to a house party with them one time but I was so nervous that I don't really remember what anyone was like.

Agreed that it looks like crochet. It looks like it might have to be a kind of weave-patch job more than a reworking the yarn kind of job to me.
