They do have a ban appeal system! When you where banned, you would have received a DM from the server bot with the moderator that banned you, there you should be able to reach out to that moderator and ask for a ban appeal.

The second strike was most likely making an example out of you, most discord servers require that suspicious accounts be reported to the mod team, rather then making a seen in one of the channels. I'm sure you can explain that you were unaware of this and/or just trying to do the right thing.

Ah, yeah that would do it! They have always had a 0 tolerance for any kind of speech against minority and/or protected groups.
