The natural disasters in WA hit red voting districts the hardest so by holding fema or transportation funds to “punish” a blue state is actually hurting their own voters most.

That’s my point. I live in a no tax state. I would advocate for a state income tax if it meant my tax dollars didn’t go to the feds but to my own state. Currently I have no choice but to pay the fed taxes leaving my state in the hands of a vindictive administration.

Ironically, thanks to the BBB the SALT deduction was extended to 2029.
Per H&R Block
* up to $40,000, adjusted for inflation, in state and local taxes for tax years 2025- 2029 (for most filing statuses).
*reduced if you make over $500k jointly or $250k separately.

It’s almost enough to propose they enact income taxes in Washington state so we can deduct them from our federal tax bill…

The sick irony is that in at least one blue state (WA), the areas most harmed by the floods and the threat by this Administration are all red districts.

I’m 60 and she has more lines than I do. I guess that’s what happens if you’re disintegrating from the inside. #sad

The irony: the areas most affected by the flooding are red voting districts.

Also how did Saban get the longest pointer? Out of need or deference?

Thanks

What is with all the pointers? They all look like 70 year old men reliving sword fights in the back years when they were 7.

The fair use doctrine means they can use what they want for 30 seconds or less (you can google it) but it’s supposed to be for non profit educational purposes. That’s where it gets into a gray area because if it’s a non profit PAC that may be how they get around it.

It was a movie first with Billy bob Thornton as the coach then a TV show with Kyle Chandler as the coach. Connie Britton played the coach’s wife in both.

Great movie, great show.

First time I’ve seen him NOT respond with “I don’t know. I hadn’t heard anything about it.”

The best part of the Seahawks-Rams game today was that it was Greg Olsen and not Tony Romo calling the game

I saw Hamilton on broadway and it was non stop talking and a singalong. I did not fork over $200+ per ticket to hear Julie from Jersey to sing along and talk next to me. If they can’t handle etiquette, THEY should watch the stream at home.
September 26, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Saw it last month. In back of me: total singalong. 😂 Next to me a b’way first timer (cute!) & her mom who could NOT SHUT UP throughout. I asked them to stop. Mom’s response? The face only a 13 yo could make, just short of sticking her tongue at me. Poor kid.

Show was great tho.

Sarah maclachlan went to the opening of the movie but she and all the scheduled performers canceled their concert that went with it.

I stand corrected (Colbert was a rumor) that said, Bill Simmons had a strong take. He worked for Kimmel for a long time and when the contract is up and he goes to another platform (YouTube is looking pretty good today 😎), they will take their whole team with them and cut a much better deal.
September 24, 2025 at 6:07 AM
Kimmel and Colbert are good people—paid their writers out of their own pockets during the writers strike. They will look out for their people—they can’t do their jobs without them.

Widen YOUR lens and have some grace. We’ve had enough outrage in the last week to last a lifetime.
September 24, 2025 at 6:03 AM
Fair enough in the fact check. I stand corrected .

Listen to Bill Simmons take (worked for jimmy Kimmel for years and is super smart in general). Those guys will still be fine and get indie deals worth much more in the long run.
September 23, 2025 at 6:56 PM
Jimmy’s contract is up in a year as well. And cut mega million deals with Netflix or Prime. They will be fine. (Colbert already signed with Netflix I think)

I think the same thing when I fly. Plane crashes and I’m wearing dirty or ratty underwear. That would be sad. 😂 /s
