This exactly. You expressed it more concisely than I ever could.

Such way of thinking is the reason why capital penalty is still a thing in the Us, and why people treat those they disagree with like garbage

But my example was probably a bit too extreme. I tend to pick very extreme examples, because they make it easier to illustrate things, but I sometimes do overkill it a bit

I’d still argue that it’s not really like that. There are countries where the majority of people are extremely homophobic, transphobic and/or racist. 1930s Germany was a whole population thing. Yes, propaganda did this, but still. Sometimes majority is wrong. Morality isn’t really linear, I feel

Thinking I’m a bad person has always brought me down a lot, and it’s been true for all the people I’ve met in my life. Telling someone they’re bad seems to make them more defensive or aggressive.
Tho I have come across one other person on the internet who said sth similar, so maybe it is a thing

If you lived in 1930s Germany as a gay who shelters Jews and helps them stay alive, and judged yourself by public moral norms, you’d be an evil monster who spreads disease. Public moral norms aren’t always moral

This actually secretly means neurodivergent omega, trust me

I don’t agree with you being a white American, and it’s your choice, because heck you mean you can’t change your skin, forget English and start speaking Mongolian Uzbeqoi creole? Everyone could do that. You’re just a bad person for not speaking Mongolian Uzbeqoi creole natively

Roleplaying ain't easy, especially if you're a weirdo* who impersonates people for no reason

*in the bad sense

I agree. ]]

I am surprised I survived the gaslight district. Maybe it's because the blood isn't red. The toenail scene freaks me out every time tho. I still adore this pilot

Tbh in kog the realisation Andie broke her arm and seeing it crooked was the scariest part of the pilot for me

Judging by how crazy the theme song animation looks, I’m not surprised it’s taking so long. This really could be among the best-looking 2D animations ever, next to Klaus and Lackadaisy

I love it a lot, yeah. Probably in my top 3 indie shows along with gaslight district and digital circus
January 17, 2026 at 6:33 PM
I have no idea what it is, but I like it

Suena como una mezcla de portugués y español. Pues yo tengo un nivel muy básico de portugués, pero ya se cómo se siente la lengua etc
January 16, 2026 at 11:42 PM
Wait, by Asturian you mean Asturleonés? Yeah, I’ve heard about it. Tho I still think Romanian is the weirdest Romance language, followed by French
January 16, 2026 at 11:10 PM
Actually, I do know quite a bit about Spain and its linguistics thanks to Linguriosa. I know about aragonés, gallego, euskera, catalán and ostician (don’t know the English names for some of them). I am considering Catalan, but I have a lotta languages I wanna learn, so we’ll see

Where can I vote? I’ve also begun using duckduckgo

Oh that makes a lot of sense. It is really sad. I think Europeans should take responsibility for that. My particular nation wasn’t a colonialist, but still there was a considerable time where we imposed our culture on the East, particularly Ukraine and Lithuania
January 16, 2026 at 8:29 PM
Oh, okay, I understand. But that should be respected, I think it’s their culture and they have the right to do that, I think. I don’t think it’s something I would choose for my culture, but I respect their choice.
Finding resources might be hard, but I think I’ll find a way eventually. Thanks

Sorry if I offended you

I just thought I’d use the opportunity of meeting a real indigenous person to learn something directly for once
January 16, 2026 at 8:20 PM
I know, but no one talks about them. And I don’t live in America, so I have no way of discovering them directly.
Duolingo only shows Navajo. Nahuatl popped up various times when I watched videos in Spanish. It seems many languages borrowed from it.
But the education on endangered languages is ass
January 16, 2026 at 8:19 PM
I don’t live in America, but I wanna learn some underrated languages one day to add my part in preserving them. Unfortunately there’s a lot of very small and nearly extinct languages no one talks about. I plan on learning Sango (Central Africa), and I only discovered it by accident:/
January 16, 2026 at 8:16 PM
Are there any other alive native American languages one can learn besides Navajo and Nahuatl?
January 16, 2026 at 8:10 PM
I gotta start doing that
