That hour felt so slow it was truly golden to me now and forever. I was finally myself and no one could take it this time. My self imposed strings cut for an hour.

Instead of feeling colder or uncomfortable from the rain. I started feeling better. The rain was not judging me or putting me down to lift itself up. We were simply existing together. I started to cry and didn't realize it.

Life was being incredibly dark and cold inside the 'home'. I decided to just leave for an hour. It was heavily raining outside to the point some parts of the dirt road were impassable. I just went out in my hoodie, shorts, and flipflops. I needed to get away.

This piece as a whole, is happy and somewhat bittersweet for me personally.
