USCIS Q3 data dropped today and woof, it's not pretty. Total pending cases at a new record high of 11.5m, net backlog increased from 4.9m to 5.4m cases, and "frontlog" bizarrely increased to 60K cases.

A lot of red flags in this data.

Yes, they are. "Each employee of the United States Government or of a District of Columbia public employer furloughed as a result of a covered lapse in appropriations shall be paid for the period of the lapse in appropriations..." 31 USC 1341. It's not even close.

I walked in DC today. An occupied city, with National Guard deployed at Metro stops and side streets, shopping for food in full gear, largely DOING NOTHING BUT wasting taxpayer $.
Get the national guard out of our cities.
