Vagante gave me the confidence to get into the Souls genre. Think 2D pixel platformer with no mercy and all danger, plus weapons and spells and stats and classes. Surprisingly deep for only 13 levels per run.

If you enjoy roguelikes, I highly recommend Vagante. A bit old, but remains one of my most favorite games of all time
