My time as a barista made me a better programmer and a better person. If it had paid a living wage, I might still be making chai.
Instead I became a software engineer & now I’m running for Congress. Our government needs more people who understand that no labor is unskilled.

Right? I never want to know a Cabinet member's name again, except VP and maybe Secretary of State or AG.
We elect people to govern. They should govern!
I do think it's true that making progress requires keeping up our pressure as voters, but it should be broad pressure, not nitty gritty stuff.

Agree. Frankly, the electoral fallout should be in Dem primaries, anyway. They're counting on the base to forgive and forget by 2028 and 2030. I think we shitlibs should find some very long-term petty rage instead.

Stearns keeps banging on about pitching & run prevention, and then signing scrubs!
I get that his MO is cheap, fresh relievers every offseason. But I don't understand why Cohen is letting him nickel and dime so much shit.
I'm mad at Senate Ds, so I'm Mets posting to feel mad about something else.

We tried to show them after the last surrender. There's no sense in trying to convince them anymore. Primaries are the only path to a fighting opposition party now.

Even Democratic Party chair Ken Martin is trashing this vote:
“As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote."

Your oath is to the Constitution, mate. You cared more about one (1) union leader's statement than anything else. That's your only legacy now.
Frankly, Virginians shouldn't have to wait until 2030 to replace you. I suggest you retire after Spanberger takes office.
