In Brisbane, it can be hard to get a ride-share to drop off in some areas. (Good neighbourhoods but not as easy for them to pick up another fare.) so locals recommend you to have obscure/private setting not showing destination till they pick you up.

Maybe they could create a ’short trips’ rank and also remove some of the time/cost to taxis. I think there’s another layer to the issue that before the taxis get to wait in the rank, they have to spend a lot of time getting into that area. So they may get a $12 fare in an hour.
