Learning the hard way that quietly walking away from awful behavior in government is terrible for democracy. Backing away in order to keep the grey area grey or to avoid awkward under orders defense arguments is not good enough. Policy changes and public condemnation is not good enough.

I suppose it’s natural as the developer population grows larger, but what a reminder that the % of the technical population that has even a rudimentary understanding of what it takes to build and operate a large platform is dwindling
