Oh yeah, I've been using a ML model in my job for over 10 years now. It speeds my job up, but it still requires a lot of labor to make sure what it's assisting with is correct. It's very telling that the pivot to using AI for things that removes creativity rather than making life easier.

I'm sure that makes me a big wet blanket, but I view games as art, and at the heart of art is always the people behind it. I'm not telling you where your line should be, but it's mine.

This past year has really broken the hype cycle for me after a bunch of games I was very excited for got caught red handed putting undisclosed generative AI assets in their game. I also assume that most coding is AI assisted given all industries have been shilling AI so hard.
