These aren't law enforcement, these are unprecedented times when deputized militia thugs can kidnap someone like this and no one stops them

Here are photos of actual ICE Agents:

To my friends that keep up with #moleg and Missouri elections, I noticed that Rep. Michael Davis from Belton voted *against* banning child marriage in Missouri?

The Michael Davis that faced a surprisingly strong opponent last year, when the environment was good for Republicans?

Vote his ass out!

Left: Amendment 6 results where orange counties voted to reject allowing courts to charge a fee to fund police ("No" won with 60% statewide)

Right: Amendment 4 to force Kansas City to increase police funding

I must believe there are still rural folks who say "ACAB"

At least six of these are in roughly safe/lean Democratic district so they don't have an excuse

So if anyone is following the bill in #moleg that aims to shield Bayer from lawsuits regarding RoundUp causing cancer, here's a wild memo from my state representative where he attempts to justify his support for Bayer

Just over 20 years ago, successful cycle to cycle, year round candidate recruitment by the MOGOP helped the right to takeover my state and we've suffered ever since

Flooding the zone with folks who want something better for their community is how we build a bench to take our country back

Today, is a good day, to call Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey's office and demand he withdraw from Texas v. Becerra, and Bailey et al. vs Kansas City, Jackson County.

And if you're fortunate enough to get a human, thank them for actually taking your call and listening.

Dude how the hell are they trying to make a "slippery slope" argument about paid sick leave 💀

The proles have voted for higher wages, paid sick leave, and thwarted our union busting attempts. What's next? Public ownership of utilities? A progressive tax policy? Tenants' Rights??

"None of us are Catholic, we're all Christians."
February 7, 2025 at 4:13 AM
There needs to be a Christian led movement to oust evangelicalism and Christian Nationalism from our government

And if there's anybody that needs to join this movement sooner, it's Catholics, because these people don't even recognize us as fellow Christians

Turns out there are donations from Ameren too
January 17, 2025 at 8:04 PM
Totally unrelated, one sponsor of a bill like this, John Simmons, received donations from Spire last cycle and the cycle before

Why in the unholy hell is there a PAC founded by a UK conservative here that is railing against the progressive base of the Democratic Party and why are so many Democrats following it blindly

If no one's said it before, "Invisible Storm: A Soldier's Memoir of Politics and PTSD" by Jason Kander (former Missouri SOS and Senate candidate) is an incredibly eye opening read on mental health

This would not only make the Democratic party more likeable but you absolutely have to do things like this to outflank the Republicans (yes, outflank) on being for the working class
December 17, 2024 at 12:15 AM
This country has a serious problem with dehumanization of the unhoused, because we all know people who also talk like this openly about people who are struggling

"Why do people have to live outside
In the brutal heat or when it's below freezing?
There are people that are made to live outside
Why?"

"I think it's really cool that he's going to take on fighting the big health care corporations"

Girl do you even know how much the GOP gets donations from- Oh wait apparently team blue is getting bribed a near equal amount

Something tells me that this bill from Dean "Check His Hard Drives" Van Schoiack isn't about *ending* child marriage

Okay who was going to tell me Lucas Kunce had a substack that cooked like this
