Cloudless blue skies and brisk air marked the turn in seasons; the tracks under the ocean's surface run towards the rough-and-tumble bricolage of a town in the aftermath: after the raid, after the Strawhats, after the storm surge that had ravaged the first and second and third and fourth and fifth levels of a City of Water struggling to resurface. Most of the buildings remained standing but with their insides hollowed out spilling on the streets whose constituent organs had also been reaped by the waves; al fresco dining, passenger boats and ambulant rolling carts stopped up in mountainous piles against the façades of multi-use buildings and in-between them. The colorful veneers that indicated if a shop was for keys or for printers or for custom-made shoes had splintered off from their establishments, some moored on the points of monuments like hitched kites; as with the street-lamps and the iron fencing and the fashioned gates, uprooted with the waves, contorted, caved in as a waiting-pen caging a distempered bull. Some of the mess floating like dead fish in the waterways.
