"You can't fake that" is a shockingly crass way of describing mass starvation.

But look a little closer, and Trump's remarks are just a variation on an American theme: Yes, we see the starving kids but we won’t do anything about it.

Same goes for Dems who condemn but still won't say Israel.

"They look very hungry" and a familiar American excuse

Trump seemed to admit that children in Gaza are starving. He's just the latest politician to pretend he can't do something about it.
