I’ve had good luck finding uniqlo stuff at eco-town thrift stores (not sure if they’re a national chain).

I’ve been wanting to come to the blue tavern to vent & get advice, but we haven’t had internet at home since the end of July. I can’t login on my phone—I just figured out bluesky on the phone yesterday. We go to the library for Internet, but it’s unpredictable who I’ll find at the blog…

Thanks, Jane. There was a will that the three children are to share equally. Sadly my sister is the executor and she’s my malignant narcissist’s brother’s sidekick.

Thanks, Knuckles. It feels especially 19th century tragedy since I sold my MA house and moved out here to prevent this. Turns out I’m a lousy superhero.

I ❤️ John Cazale. I didn’t realize he was the same age as my father, both gone now.

You don't need to "stop and frisk" that guy to know what he had planned.

I hope their endless attacks on her only make her stronger. Goddess protect her. I remember when she was first elected, they thought they could make her dancing in a video into a scandal. Does she already have $200 haircuts and $300 dutch ovens? What a world.

I bet that guy doesn't even make good coffee.

Anxiety turned into beauty! 💗

Years ago, I drew my mom a birthday card: me as a New York fashionista wearing a long grey knitted coat and red boots wishing her a happy birthday. Some time later, she surprised me with a coat she'd made based on the drawing: all grey wool crocheted granny squares!

Ha! I was just thinking that if you had asked me a little over a year ago, my guess would've been the same. Now though? I'm pretty sure he's the guy who ripped his shirt off for 47.

I lol'd at this, so that's something. Seriously though, you give us comic relief; you foster community by connecting people through their shared joy of your work; and I think you've had an impact on the evolution of humor in political comics/comics in general. Thanks for your alchemy.

Thank you so much! She has found some information online, and this is all helpful. We've yet to find a native nursery, and she knows this is a longterm project. Thanks again.

My daughter is trying to convert my mom's garden to native plants. Are there any resources you can recommend? We're in southern CA. My mom took out the lawn 50 years ago, but her beautiful garden is not all native plants.
