Why can't conservatives just can't handle the harsh reality of life? Wtf does being "responsible" for something have to do with being subject to it? Also arguing for a definition of discrimination by parenthetically asserting your definition as the "legal" one might feel smart but is in fact stupid

Today I learned a 2020 randomized controlled trial showed that interview code tests largely filter out people who somehow weirdly find job interviews stressful

Look I'm fine with "beg the question" coming to mean "raise the question." (😭)

But it used to mean, more usefully, "make an argument that pretends its premise is true," as the vp does in this fascist tweet.

Also even if immigration were "illegal," due process IS ONLY RELEVANT TO ILLEGAL THINGS.

This quote gets at a pretty basic logic problem in the “unitary executive theory.” If the executive branch regularly ignores the other branches then they are no longer the other branches, and the presidency is not a branch, or executive. It’s embarrassing sophistry.
