I've created my first model with animation in #Blender. It's not perfect, but for an IE AutoSpriter demo, I think it's pretty decent.

This website offers the possibility to crop an image so that it can be used as a portrait image in one of the IE games (see attached screenshot).

Here are some IWD-inspired artworks by Igor Levchenko that can be used for character portraits, for example.

I can't confirm the authenticity of this second short interview with Brent Knowles, but if it's true, it's still interesting.
The specific question concerns a minotaur in BG2 that can be encountered in the sewers beneath the Copper Crown.

I've created my first effect in #Blender. It's a small demo for an export plugin specifically designed for IE games. This will be my last post for a while. Happy holidays to you all!

Part1:
I had completely forgotten about this promotional comic for the BG PC game. It was apparently released on January 1, 1998. The creators are Dean White and John Gallagher.

All modders using an older version of Notepad++ are advised to manually update to the latest version from the official website due to traffic hijacking affecting Notepad++.

Looking at my profile,it's clear that it's primarily about IE games. What I really want is a fundamentally reworked&improved engine so that modders can create more content more easily.Ideally, this would be accompanied by another standalone game that also demo the capabilities of the updated engine.

The pictures are fantastic to look at. I wouldn't be surprised if this particular image was inspired by Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" from 1908.

Time to post another mod. There are some IE players out there who still play classic BG,so here's a mod for them:

"Support for widescreen resolutions...Increased refresh rate...Seamless alt-tabbing / fullscreen <-> windowed"-Bub13

Jaheira and Minsc are characters that have been around since BG1. Here are their portraits from earlier games. This brings back a bit of nostalgia. Great characters!

The ring of the ram is also found in BG2:EE. The ability to push enemies away can be useful for mages to keep them out of melee combat, or in situations where a party member is seriously wounded and needs distance from the enemy.

This post also covers the VA of one of the antagonists in the IE games. This time it's about Sarevok, the main villain in BG. I've created a short video with two sayings from the game. I'm not sure if Bluesky supports the format. Let's find out. Spoiler alert.

Here's a map of Toril, the world where the stories of BG, BG2, IWD, and IWD2 take place.
The approximate location of the city of Baldur's Gate on the map is in "Fearun -> Sword Coast," and Athkatla is in Amn (just below the Sword Coast).

Both BG games feature the famous drow Drizzt Do'Urden as side content. The author of this character and the books is R.A. Salvatore.

If you're interested in historical information on individual Infinity Engine games, "The CRPG Book Project" is an helpful resource. It's not overwhelming, feels like a review that can be helpful for beginners, and includes mod suggestions.

Grimstome Grifhand's Portrait:

Grimstome is a classic dwarf,a true son of the dwarven people.Despite his boasts of battlefield prowess, Grimstome has never truly faced the crucible of war.In the past, he worked as a miner for his clan and also as a priest to heal the miners when accidents occurred.
