My sweet Jackson is at the vet. He developed a terrible hot spot on his hip and it doubled in size overnight. Low grade fever. They’ll shave him further, clean his wound and sent us home with cleaning supplies, pain meds and antibiotics. Poor little man.

I took off early today to spend some time with my youngest. She treated me to a hot mess of greasy diner food at the Westcliff in exchange for being dragged around the mall.

After a rocky start, it turned out to be an awesome day. Halifax Jazz Festival hosted two Charlie Brown Christmas concerts this weekend. I caught some of it then off to creative studio photo session. My cup is full and I’m beat!

Slept in, observed Remembrance Day, and took the mutts for a walk. Jackson enjoyed a dip on this balmy 12° day. People are always amazed by his winter dips. This is nothing for him. On our way home we were flagged down by a dog mom who sent us home with a bag of freshly baked muffins. So nice!

I spent the day in Mahone Bay at a retreat and stopped a couple of times on the drive home. The colours are beautiful this year. #autumn #novascotia #photography

Some highlights from today in #Halifax: beautiful colours at Point Pleasant Park where we ran into my granddog Azzie and my bonus daughter; and a curry-coconut milk bok choy and dumpling bake tonight. I ran out of gyoza so tossed udon noodles in. It was spicy but so good! #thankful

Don’t go chasing waterfalls (in a drought)… A beautiful day to pick apples and hike to a waterfall even if the water was barely there. I’ve never seen it so dry!

I knew when I saw @justip.bsky.social post about the Dairy Bar special, I’d need to get there before they changed the weekly special. So glad I did. Grandma’s Hands: ginger soft serve, biscoff cookies and molasses. A true power lunch. My gut will hate me for a few days but it was worth it!

A magical night last night at The Underground. It’s an amazing event with different acts, and the audience has no idea what they’ll be seeing beforehand. This aerial/silks dance routine was so beautiful. There was also a short play, a woman drumming and singing, and a band. #halifax #photography
