In the 90’s, during Martha’s heydays, I ventured into her show for the first and last time. The PTSD that moms must suffer from thinking we should blow the egg through a pinhole and paint the inside of the shell so our guests can peer into it.

One year ago, my son was on the front page for his research on arsenic in private wells, now it’s a worthless propaganda machine. He has graduated with his masters in geology and there are no science jobs or PhD positions. And you have lost your job. How do we ever find our way forward?

I walked into the Nicholas Roerich museum in Manhattan yesterday and discovered not only some of the most beautiful paintings, but learned about the Roerich Pact - Treaty on the Protection of Artistic and Scientific Institutions and Historic Monuments signed in 1935. Let’s dust this off

Our last was ‘Go Dog Go’ My four were all read to daily for years, early readers, deeply invested in literature and learning, all have bachelor degrees, two have masters, doing well… and yet we all still quote this book! ‘I do not like that hat’. Go figure.
