Yes, the tortitude is strong in this one. She was diagnosed with moderate kidney disease at 2 years old and was not expected to live to 3. She is almost 4-1/2 now!

It's usually latched so she can't open it. We just came in so I could make lunch, then take her out again. She was on her own schedule.

Ours are not allowed out unsupervised. Molly gets some leeway because she's too small to climb the fence. But the neighbor's cats could pop over, so we are always out with them.

The screen door was ajar about 1 fingertip width. Molly decided it was taking too long to make sandwiches, so she would begin #Caturday lunch on the patio without us. Video: a small tortishell cat uses all her muscles & wriggles to open a sliding screen door far enough for her to squeeze through.
