When my dad died, there was this whole ceremony at the veterans' home that I was able to film as they transferred him from his room to the hearse. Really moving. My Motorola phone clipped it to 30 seconds, added EDM music, emailed it to me that night. Best. Gift. Ever. I grieve darkly for sure.

Back in the olden times of the late 80s, a date ordered for me (that was still a thing in the 80s South) and he ordered a half portion of ravioli. I still haven't forgiven him even though I never saw him again.

When I lived in NYC I would see him on the bus all the time and he was a person who always gave up his seat to the elderly.

I used to make Dr Enuf runs back in the day with my dad, who used to run shine from Western NC through TN. You just unlocked a really cool memory for me!!!! Love that stuff.

I did this once with butter chicken when I realized after I made it that I didn't have rice, or even potatoes, to serve it on, but I did have Pillsbury refrigerated pie crusts. It was amazing.
