political stability and normalcy was something we really took for granted in retrospect.

It’s currently operating totally outside of our constitutional rules. Habeas corpus , due process of law, equal protection, freedom of speech, 4th amendment protections against search and seizure, are all not being enforced in any common sense or meaningful way.

I think the reason this “realignment” happened in 2024 is because social media turned politics into a trend, and people my age especially couldn’t conceptualize the idea that who you vote for actually has consequences.

It’s crazy to me that this is even being polled for in the first place.
