The kind of man your mum wishes your dad was. Told Bradley Walsh to go fuck himself between rounds 2 & 3 of a taping of The Chase and I once saw a man kick a pigeon across Trafalgar Square.
Every shop I go into just has a small Halloween section next to the massive Christmas one. I love X-mas food so I'm quite happy to get extra time with it. If anything I'm annoyed it disappears on Boxing Day. There's months of winter after X-mas & I could eat festive delights until the end of Feb.

The fact that you have replied to me so many times says my opinion REALLY bothers you and you have no sense of mirth. Have a pie!
October 14, 2025 at 3:24 PM
I don't think there's anything wrong with people forming profound emotional bonds with their pets. You're just not their mum/dad and if you think that my having that one opinion on one thing means I experience no joy in life, you're a fucking idiot.

I don't take fun things setously. I just don't view creepy behaviour as fun. I do blow bubbles for my kid.
October 14, 2025 at 12:57 PM
Yeah, your replies have been so light hearted. Just bursting with mirth.
October 14, 2025 at 12:53 PM
The fun version being referring to yourself as your pets mum/dad? You're saying this is the fun version? An adult saying to an animal that they're their mum/dad?
October 14, 2025 at 12:52 PM
We have different interpretations of whimsy.
October 14, 2025 at 12:47 PM
But well done on trying to diminish the skills, talent and hard work of an entire sector just because you don't value it. You seem like a great person.

You don't need a quantity surveyor or risk assessment, environmental surveys to build a wall in your garden or to meet regulations. You don't need to know how atmospheric conditions affect certain materials. You don't need to consider accessibility or how audiences respond to or experience it.
October 14, 2025 at 7:52 AM
What are you talking about? I've worked in the sector. I know for a fact that there is work involved that requires BY LAW qualifications to carry out. It's only an arbitrary decision if you count laws as arbitrary decisions & doesn't change that these qualifications are required.
October 14, 2025 at 6:03 AM
A lot of the work around building maintenance requires people with certified qualifications by law.
October 13, 2025 at 9:39 PM
Yep. Curating and maintaining collections, maintenance and restoration of historic art/artifacts and buildings (often listed) actually does require a lot of experience, skill and in some cases qualifications. There's so much to it that the public don't see and requires a lot of hard work.
October 13, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Yeah, I don't doubt for a second that people love their pets or form profound emotional bonds, it's just literally not a parent/child relationship.
October 13, 2025 at 3:46 PM
Wow! What a cunt!
October 13, 2025 at 3:25 PM
They don't though.
October 13, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Because people that say they're their pets mum or dad are unhinged.
October 13, 2025 at 2:58 PM
If it helps, we never had pets growing up and I have a great relationship with my parents. People who refer to themselves as the mummy or daddy of their pets are fucking weirdos. I wouldn't say perverts though.

Only if calling it National Minimum Wage is bullshit.
September 25, 2025 at 4:45 PM
I spent many years living in a city working jobs that absolutely did not pay city wages before securing one that did.

This.

But what about the fishing industry that all brexiteers were always deeply invested in?

The other four were too polite to leave him out.

Some people I don't want to picture being squelchy funsters so I vote for Nobbly Bobson.
