I make sketches for my sketches sometimes LMAO. I guess the more correct term is "gesture drawing", but it really helps set the general pose and feel before you get to any finer details like facial expressions or hand poses.

Ngl the idea of making a bunch of OCs just to fill a roster for this hypothetical game is sounding very tempting...
