GOOD NEWS! The District Court of Southern Indiana has halted the Houston South Project with a Stop Work Order, ruling that the Forest Service failed to take a hard look at the environmental impacts to Lake Monroe, which provides water to hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers!

This is all thanks to YOUR advocacy and all the messages you sent to the mayor and city councilors!
The City-County Council passed the $1.7 billion budget on Monday evening, unfortunately, a proposed amendment to the move $2 million to protecting urban forests failed.
HOWEVER, the DPW plans to devote $4 million to the issue over the next four years. Still a win!
