I think it was because the track was clear? We saw Alonso’s car being taken off the track on lap 17, but too late for a single racing lap. But since the track was clear the safety car was called in on the next lap but it just happened to be the final lap. It’s not a conspiracy, just coincidence.

I think today was purely a matter of experience: he doesn’t quite have the experience to run a race from the very front yet, which is where Rowland absolutely dominated. No jinx, but I reckon we’ll see a dominant race from him before the end of the season!
