At least they tried to bring it to the rest of the world, and not let the game to be an exclusive to the Japanese market.

The EU version is fully localised, the UI is more polished and gameplay rebalanced.

It's more complex than that. Hosting a content on a web site is relatively effortless, just grab popular files from the web.

Research on a game system, to know how to dump a game and actually preserve it is another story.

I already replied that point, if you have struggling to apply a patch, you go to some discord/forum/place to discuss about that.

Everyone has different tech skills, but in my opinion, if you fiddle with retrogame and patches, it's part of the fun and I could give a hand to random people.

that's when you go to the community and ask for help, it's missing because it was never the point of the website. For that you go to rhdn or similar.
Some mods are more complex than others, but this doesn’t excuse anyone to take their work, put a patched game online and take money from donations.

There are different issues. By uploading the content they blur the line between piracy and fantranslation/mods. When a new work is uploaded, people thank Spike/CDRomance for that, not the authors of the original work.

Finally, they take the money from donations, authors provide free patches. Clear?
