Ramaswamy's message to conservative audiences was consistent and clear: America is already fair, racism is exaggerated, and those who claim otherwise are playing the victim. And that message did much to raise his profile in Trump’s GOP.

Military forces know that a force that operates within clear legal and ethical boundaries is more disciplined, more predictable, and more effective over time. This is not academic theory; it is operational reality. Does our secretary of defense know that?

Many of ICE’s tactics are “plainly illegal,” the former federal judge Nancy Gertner writes. The legal precedent that permits such lawlessness was the expectation of well-intentioned immigration enforcement:
Why the Supreme Court Is Giving ICE So Much Power
The Constitution inarguably applies to federal immigration agents—but the Supreme Court has taken away the hope of ever holding them to that standard.

I think people are overthinking this. Trump is greedy and vain, and acquiring Greenland would make him feel like a great president who enlarged America’s North American holdings
As a founding member of NATO, tying Denmark up with this Greenland fiasco would greatly benefit Putin. Imagine that.
If the U.S. military is given direct orders to seize Greenland—pull down another nation’s flag, and then claim the ground in the name of the United States—every senior commander has a moral obligation to refuse to accept or support such a command.

What you want from economic policy is constant chaotic day to day volatility combined with extreme complexity and opacity.
Just now in the Oval: Trump has signed action officially adjusting tariffs vs Canada/Mexico, saying all goods not compliant with USMCA will still see 25% tariffs (or 10% on energy).

WH official says roughly 50% of Mexican imports, 62% of Canadian imports are NOT compliant, so tariffs remain there.

For all the TRUMP = STRONG propaganda this is *exactly* what his “leadership” was like in Covid. Constant zigging and zagging, self-contradictory, incapable of commitment, wanting to have it both ways. It was a disaster!
This is what weak, flailing leadership looks like. His inability to make meaningful change in areas like this explains the desperate, authoritarian bluster of his largely illegal Executive Orders. This is the sort of leader who opposing politicians should definitely NOT cater to.
"The decision is a significant reversal by Trump, who on Tuesday had announced the largest tariff increase in a century only to back down 48 hours later as stocks were hammered and Republicans expressed concern about the economic consequences." Story: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
