I need to reply to this again and just say thank you for recommending this. I'm a few hours in and it's already a game that is so perfectly what I've been looking for for a long time.

It's not pretty, sure, but I'm not the type who cares about graphics. It doesn't crash and seems to work on a technical level just fine on the deck

Interesting, because I was getting that from their own store page that states that it's not compatible. But that's really reassuring, because I'm willing to settle for less than perfect if the game is good enough and I can use it to get me through the slow hours of the job.

It's not steam deck-able, which is rough for me (I play a lot of my games at work). Shame, because I'm looking for something just like this for those times.

PS: I have confirmation that you guys played against him once. I forget which episode of TTC it is, but I think it was James and Nelson played against him and he won in 4 turns before using a more "casual" deck that won in 6.

Through a coincidental game of Conspiracy, I hit on an idea for a Marchesa, the Black Rose infect deck. I put it together and clearly surprised Roger by eliminating him in the next game we played. He threw such a salt that I never ran the deck again.

He was also my introduction to Commander and the only way I got to play for the first year or two of my time with the format. I would make Leviathan themed decks with Tromokratis and dub it "The Pool Noodle," he would play leovold, or abzan gitrog nonsense.

There was a friend. We'll call him Roger. The guy is honestly a savant when it comes to building and piloting top tier Commander decks, but he has no ability to turn it off; His casual decks still max the power scale. And he only knows how to play to win.
