Today's mission is figuring out why the pattern selectors won't engage. She was pretty filthy when I got her but has cleaned up well and now plain knits perfectly, but won't pattern. Either the carriage isn't channeling needles correctly or the selectors aren't moving right

I don't know what to put in my first post so here's the interior of the KH820 knitting machine I'm currently taking apart. ✌️ This is the first Brother machine I've dealt with so it's neat to see how the patterning mechanism differs from Singers. All these complex little pins and sandwiched hooks...
