I am keen on a referendum having an age limit in Parliament. (say 65) and scaling down older voters to a level below that afforded to those aged 16 who do have a future.

Even with their fall in support, I doubt that it would rise to 50%. Even picking up a seat from ACT. They will likely lose a couple of seats, like Banks Peninsula, West Coast Tasman, and Hutt South. Also, the extra list seats make an overhang less likely

National's overhang seat comes from an oddity in the system created by a by-election. A 50% of a candidate dying during the campaign sounds highly unlikely - unless you think that is being arranged

The SqW was harder because one of the downward strokes isn't how I'd spell that word. Its seemed made up to me, though Google gave me an American meaning which is not familar to English Speakers

Labour support fell in the election. They won the most seats due to divided electorate. Nothing to do with who was leader and who ran the campaign. Having no vision means they are deeply unpopular now. In May they will finish 3rd or 4th in Scotland and maybe as low as 6th in Wales

The fact that someone who was once third in line to be the head of state is now immoral suggests that inheriting a role may not be sensible.
