Happy Year of the Snake. Last year I was feeling that snake energy creeping in, and it’s a good reminder to always seek growth and embrace transformation and renewal.

Nathalie Handal is a Palestinian-American poet, and I thought I’d share this flat lay of her poem “Echoes: a Historical Afterward” I typed out on my antique Corona Smith. It explains so much with a heartbreaking insight.

“Never again" becomes more than a slogan: It's a prayer, a promise, a vow. There will never again be hatred, people say. Never again jail and torture… never again the glorification of base, ugly, dark violence. It's a prayer.”
