"How I pick colors" A mini tutorial by @megu_art_ Disclaimer: there are a lot of ways of doing things in art; I'm not saying this is a "better/worse" way, it is simply my personal way Left: My color palette is mainly pastel; That doesn't mean I don't use darker /brighter colors; But I avoid neon or too saturated colors I never use pure black/white, Tip: Apply this to your linearts too Right: I don't use black for shading (some examples of shading without black) Left: Colors vary depending on the setting/scene (palette of cold and warm colors) Tip: Deciding the background color beforehand will help you choosing a more accurate palette Right: examples of neutral, warm and cold palettes
