Biobasierte und kreislauforientierte Produkte und Verfahren spielen eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Entkopplung von Wachstum und Emissionen. Eine vielversprechende Technologie in den kommerziellen Maßstab zu überführen, ist eine große Herausforderung und die Hindernisse, mit denen die industrielle Biotechnologie dabei konfrontiert wird, sind besonders einzigartig. Im Rahmen dieser Doktorarbeit sollen hierfür die Diffusion und wirtschaftliche Dynamik nachhaltiger Innovationen analysiert werden, die einer erfolgreichen Markteinführung zugrunde liegen, um eine solide Vorhersage der damit verbundenen Zielkonflikte im Zusammenhang mit der nachhaltigen und ausreichenden Bereitstellung und Nutzung von Biomasse zu ermöglichen. Die Arbeit wird am Institut für Energie- und Klimaforschung – Jülicher Systemanalyse (ICE-2) durchgeführt.

Calling all PhD students interested in Risk Analytics 20 fellowships for advanced courses in Risk Analytics, funded by the Collegio Internazionale Ca’ Foscari (CICF) in Venice The Colloquium caters to Doctoral students interested in analytical (both theoretical and applied) methods for measuring, managing and mitigating risks. It is organized over four two-week sessions along one year. The risks considered range from standard economic, financial or insurance applications, to emerging ones, such as environmental, climate and cyber risks. The approach is in-depth and multidisciplinary, with lectures, assignments and discussion of the results. Outstanding international scholars with long-standing PhD teaching and supervision experience deliver the courses. We seek PhD students from Italian or Foreign Universities, who remain affiliated with their Doctoral School. Students apply for one session at a time, and must attend the whole session. They may get credit for the courses taken within the Colloquium. There are no participation fees; travel and accommodation are covered by the Colloquium.
