I woke up this morning to a red sky
A warning was everywhere
I felt the rain on my shoulder
As I went into the mornings way
It felt so crisp and alive in the air
As if october had been awoken
Darkness fell over me in this
As the day moved boldly on

Were thrown into the wind
A gentle storm upon us
Disturbed our peaceful day

A bang in the dark
From the side of our home
The sun had retreated
The moon on show
It felt later than it was
One of those days
As I crept out to investigate
Shadows started to chase
In the middle of the silence
