InReality is a cryptographic defence against AI 🛡️

We certify real content at the point of capture-images, videos, voice, and text. When shared the content is guaranteed to be real and un-manipulated. Making real content secure and verifiable.
Can fake information be injected into a decentralized cryptographic system? 🤔

Well you can always lie. 😅

But if we have cryptographically secure channels to devices (e.g. cameras), then we can create secure bubbles with NO FAKE CONTENT 🛡️
Only real images and videos can make it in!

Generative AI can be a brilliant thing, however if you are new to the potential issues that it presents we'd love to recommend a quick watch:

Deepfakes are getting advanced, do you think detection can keep up with generative AI or do we need cryptographic security?

Comment below with your vote: 🗳️

A - Detection is good enough
B - Cryptography is needed
C - Both are necessary
D - None needed

"Expert was shocked after seeing new AI tool"....this is becoming a more common conversation.

We need new technology to enable us to undoubtedly distinguish the real content from the fake.

Most people confuse content authenticity with content ownership. They’re not the same.

Authenticity = proving content is real and unaltered

Ownership = proving who holds rights

Our tech locks data at capture, so it can always be verified for both. Trust begins at the source.

Blockchains are incredibly secure but struggle with modern data rights like deleting or updating info. Their permanent records clash with privacy laws and cause legal headaches. So whilst secure, they might not be the best security network for content certification? #Blockchains #Cryptography

There’s a line between when AI-generated content is creative and fun, and when it’s crucial to know what’s real. Enjoying memes? Great! But for news for instance, being able to instantly verify authenticity matters to society. Certifying genuine content lets everyone have confidence online.

We need a new way to be able to tell what is real and what is not.

The best place to certify real content is the point of capture. That means your phone or camera would:

- Prove it’s a trusted device through hardware attestation
- Bind key metadata securely to the file
- Cryptographic signatures to prevent tampering
- Open standards so platforms verify everywhere

Can we rely on legacy networks to certify what’s real online? We don't think so. Gatekeepers can be spoofed, trust gets diluted.

What we need is a cryptographic layer — verifiable signatures at the content level — so authenticity travels with the media itself 🛡️

We don't think trust should come from a black box.

That’s why solutions must be at least partly open source—open enough for anyone to inspect, question, and verify.

Closed tools might work short-term, but real confidence comes from shared accountability.

💭 Do you see openness as the key to trust?

The complexity of #AIContent is developing fast. What felt impossible last year already looks ordinary today.

The problem? Distinguishing real from #fake is getting harder.

Without certifying content at capture, we risk a world where everything looks convincing, and trust is eroded.

How do we feel about this?

We’re not against AI‑generated content — it has its place.

But the real problem is when people can’t tell the difference between what’s authentic and what’s synthetic. We need a way of distinguishing the real from the fake.

Blockchain is highly secure. But scalability? That’s the issue. 🧱✨

Certifying billions of photos and videos on-chain = slow, costly, energy-heavy. Ill-fit for internet-scale content.

For digital content, we need something lighter and faster.

Let's talk network architectures...

Centralized severs = fast, efficient, but who can guarantee the security?
Decentralized = secure, but performance is an issue

For content certification at scale, how about a fast, efficient and secure hybrid decentralized system?

Blockchain is great for tamper-proof records but it can’t fully solve fake content. It struggles with big files, real-time updates, and of course modern data rights. That’s why solutions like InReality using C2PA’s metadata matter for real digital trust. What do you think #BlockchainLimits

“Proof of reality” means we need more than a convincing look; we need evidence of who created content, what’s happened to it, and clear signals that it’s authentic.
With #C2PA, those details travel with every image or video—so creators and audiences get tools for trust and misinformation is reduced.
August 28, 2025 at 9:45 AM
Digital trust starts with transparency.
#C2PA lets creators and publishers embed cryptographically signed “content credentials” into every image, video or audio file—showing who made it, when, and what’s been changed.
This makes it much harder for misinformation to spread

Editing photos - it’s part of creativity, we get it.
