Now I can admit if Jeffries was stronger he’d demand a retraction but that’s a whole other story

Axios acts like Jeffries is saying democrats won’t seek impeachment when Jeffries says it’s republicans that won’t while he slaps says that when Trump is out of power (or the GOP is out of power), crimes can still be prosecuted.

This is what the hill reported which is extremely different from the axios headline.

The media is not being truthful and we all need to do better (myself included)

So axios put this headline to get clicks not to be informative. They know how ppl feel about democratic leadership and leaned on that. Even I was like “sigh, here he goes again” and then I found anything article to see what was actually said (cause I’m not having axios my email) and it’s nothing

However, he’s calling for investigations and is saying the same thing everyone is saying that these look like crimes. The article is saying nothing different than what everyone else is saying. And investigations and hearings would be the first step to impeachment anyway

Full disclosure, I think chuck schumer needs to be replaced and Jeffries is on thin ice (I think a stronger senate majority leader may help him)

That said, what he actually said was that because the GOP holds both chambers, he doesn’t think impeachment will happen.
