As mentioned previous in this thread, I think he comes across her body in very loop. It’s then, and only then, that he recognizes who she is, so he rewinds her time. Maybe he used to loop too but doesn’t anymore because it doesn’t achieve what he wants.

Rewatching the anime and Amekawa Touko has stated that she told the anime team how it ends. In the first episode, when Rishe dies, the color scheme is pink when the clock is going clockwise, but turns blue when time rewinds. What if Arnold, with the blood of the goddess, is rewinding Rishe’s time?

Arnold is going to toss that war aside like he tossed his sword to catch Rishe in that balcony scene I swear. She will (probably unintentionally) force his hand.

Arnold’s war path alters in every loop due to Rishe’s interference. No doubt he has heard about her in each loop.

I wonder if Arnold wants to take over the world as revenge for every nation that ever gave his father a bride to avoid war. Or maybe he is uniting everyone under his reign because everyone hates Galkhein and want to crush it out of fear. He wants to protect his nation since it’s his duty.

Rishe is the goddess in the scripture in LN 3. It’s probably a prophesy that Arnold knows the whole of. Maybe his mother told him about it.

I don’t think Arnold is looping, but he might have had dreams of previous time lines (as noted possible on LN 3). He has probably encountered Rishe in these timelines, whether in passing or after her deaths.
