It’s not meant to be, not for her.

He’s being given a second chance at love and a family, not many people get that.

She means it, he’s making an effort to move on. And he can have more heirs, ones that won’t ruin his life.

Sitting back down in her armchair when he focused his attention back on his work, she closed her eyes to hide the pain she felt towards him moving on.

But even though it hurt, she wasn’t going to be selfish. A man couldn’t love a portrait, and he deserved to move on.

“And don’t close your heart to the chance of new love. You’d say the same to me.” She pointed out.

“They’ll get used to it.” She responded with a smile.

“Will you have a portrait put in each of the children’s homes, so I can watch over them as well?”

“I’ll always be with you, my love. In your heart.” She responded, as she stood up from her armchair.

“I do need you to do something, though.”

“It will get easier, my love. Time will heal you and you will find love again.” She promised, still smiling peacefully at him.

“Forgive Cygnus, he might have acted out of hatred but it worked out. My mind isn’t sick anymore.”

“It’s perfectly natural.” She responded with a peaceful smile.

“Your desire for her took over because you wanted it to.”

She wasn’t angry, if anything she wanted him to move on and find joy in life again.

She just smiled as she looked down over him. “You gave into your desires, you’ve earned that right. No one is going to crucify you, my love.”
