Gavin Newsome while now perfect is showing exactly what needs to be done to cou ter Trump's bullshit, however he is making our state more independent of the Fed. The question is then why are we giving so much of our taxes to the fed? We should cut Cali contribution as a donor state.!

Lol....sure...then beat it...

I highly doubt that any new "universal insurance" is going to be any more inclusive when their main game is to cut services. People will lose and lose big in all the restructuring and it will undoubtedly be poor people.

General statements like these have no place in this discourse. I am notnsure if you understand but fundamentally the two insurances are completely different and one cannot be folded into the other and meet the needs in the same way.

Medicare does not pay for Custodial stay at skilled nursing which is currently the only way a person who needs 24/7 care for the rest of their life with no family to help, would get the help they need. MEDICARE for all misses the bot by far. MEDICAID Is the only insurance providing that coverage.

Hahahahah...just cannot be wrong huh....I know how Medicaid is paid for and for all intents and purposes it is free. It is not coming out each persons pocket in the same way as a copay does like fee for service. A person would not have to cash out when they go to a pharmacy, or show up at an E.D

December 17, 2025 at 4:20 AM
Lastly your article does not say services would be free but paid for by taxes and contributions. MEDICAID IS FREE. This is a repackage making Medicare a bit better but still not comparable to Medicaid.
December 16, 2025 at 11:54 PM
Unfortunately from what you offered the document does not say there would not be co-pays. It says no monthly premiums but co-pays are fee for service. Also they would still have a part d plan which is for prescriptions...meaning there would be costs for prescriptions. Under Medicaid Rx is free.

So you know. A Medicare expansion to all citizens in the U.S. does not address the needs of poor Americans, it gives them insurance they cannot afford even if they did expand to include pregnancy and other needs.
