Unfortunately, my plans to take the classic line to the Great Wall tomorrow (as recommended by the excellent @seatsixtyone.bsky.social page) have been hindered. It seems the line has been cut short at a disconnected station called Nankou sometime within the last couple of months. 😔

Made it to Beijing after a comfortable ride from Shanghai in the new ish Premium first class product! 1000km in 4h30m mostly at 350 km/h is really impressive 🚄💨🇨🇳

Couldn't come to China and not try out their version of the Bombardier Regina, found all over Sweden and related to the Danish Øresundståg.

I like the seats on the Pendolino more than the CD open plan cars on the Baltic express. But if you're a fan of compartments, first class on Baltic express is definitely a winner.
Can't wait for Baltic Expres to get a proper dining car all the way to Prague in the new timetable!

Good morning from Wrocław, it's an early start for me this morning onboard the once daily Pendolino service up to Warsaw.
Journey times with the Pendolino from Wrocław isn't considerably faster than the loco hauled trains, but it's a comfortable train for the just under 4 hour journey 🚄🇵🇱

Swapped the RE+Rail Replacement bus to Puttgarden, for a direct Flixbus from Hamburg. The RRB onboard comfort is awful.

Never tried this dedicated relax class carriages before, but they are excellent! Huge sturdy fold out tables, lots of space for the cheap menu. 2.7€ for cake, beer and crossiant. 💪🇨🇿

Spent a few days in Northern Slovakia. It's pretty amazing how many small branch lines are still in operation here with decent service levels and good connections to the Bratislava -Košice Mainline. 🇸🇰🚂

When the line to Berlin Hauptbahnhof doesn't work, you always got Gesundbrunnen. Off to Wrocław on the diverted EC57. Even managed to get a seat in the single airline style carriage in today's composition💪🚂🇩🇪🇵🇱
