Beneath all the layers of hatred, sunken cost fallacy and loneliness, they know they're wrong. But they're in too deep and to say they're wrong would be to admit complicity in all of the atrocities that are on-going. They'd rather double-down until they're "right" (ie: no one can question them)

I remember having FM in my smartphone 12 years ago. I think there were some debates about mandating FM in smartphones esp for disaster warnings, but did not get much traction. It would be great if local radio stations could transmit disaster warnings to smartphones. Seems like a no brainer.

Look, I am angry too and on the same side. We just differ on how best to win back democracy. I think singling out a vet without solid proof does more harm than good. But if you are actively protesting the ICE raids, trump actions or Gaza genocide, I respect that.

The focus should be on the cruelty of Trump and ICE. If he voted for Trump so what? Maybe he learned from it in a positive way. We need any people we can get, including previous Trump voters and nonvoters, to come together and fight this authoritarian machine. Alienating them just hurts the cause.
