Watched enough Doctor Who as a child to know that when the people come together, we always have more power than the folks at the top.
Yeah, that's.... what I was saying.

Not PBS. It was an early Roger Ailes production. Curious that it apparently ran late at night in most markets; it definitely was on around noon near me. qz.com/1973960/rush...
Rush Limbaugh’s short-lived TV show was the gateway drug to Fox News

I remember my grandfather having to be pulled away from it to have lunch with me when I would visit, to the annoyance of me and my
grandmother.

With due respect, this post and your next one are a lot of words that don't answer the question I asked, so I assume your answer is no, you don't know, and you only care about the one, which is why I cannot and will not take your "voting doesn't work" BS seriously. Have a day.
February 12, 2026 at 6:18 PM
Do you know how many elections there are in Oklahoma? Because it's more than just one. A LOT more, and they ALL count. People who assume there's only one election that counts in any given state are too clueless to discuss electoral politics in any serious way.

You were responding to someone else, and if you look at the thread, you clearly replied to Lott and Hastert with "they were nothing compared with the assholes that came after them" and went on about folks who came before. The cause for confusion was clear. But we don't need to dwell here.

And that just fuels their inferiority complex, which they put forward as some bizarre sort of superiority, and it just cycles on and on in a destructive way that doesn’t help anyone—least of all them and their causes, which a lot of us would support. It’s madness.
February 12, 2026 at 1:46 PM
The farther left is convinced there are a lot more of them than there actually are, and come with such a massive chip on their shoulder that they poison the well for the left as a whole. They don’t get that they need normie support and shit on it instead—losing folks like me and a lot of others.
February 12, 2026 at 1:45 PM
“Voting will not work” is where you lose me and other sane people who recognize that voting is the one thing that scares these folks more than anything else because IT DOES WORK, and folks like you who cast doubt on it are helping to suppress the vote and do their work for them. Miss me with that.
February 12, 2026 at 1:25 PM
Unfortunately, it fails a lot of the time when they aren’t, too.
February 12, 2026 at 1:19 PM
Ehh? Lott and Hastert came long after Wallace and Eisenhower (and I know this because they were around in my lifetime, and W and E most definitely were not).

Folks REALLY need to listen to Rachel Maddow’s Ultra podcast if they think ANY of this is new. Pretty much NONE of it is, to an extent that’s downright eerie. America has been this messed up for at least a solid century, and considering the N*sis modeled themselves on us, longer.

Air America tried. It didn’t work—because the left wing isn’t wired the same way as the right and it wasn’t a natural fit. Not everything works the same way for everyone.

I've been screaming at US to DO SOMETHING and we are equally gutless.
February 12, 2026 at 1:13 AM
This need to be "lit up" to vote is a huge part of the problem. If Donald John Trump and his Parade of Incompetents isn't enough to light a fire in you to vote, I don't know how to help you—or save this country from itself.
February 12, 2026 at 12:46 AM
I'm genuinely not sure you can read. If you can, you seem to be deeply dedicated to missing my point. I read your whole post, and responded to all of it, and we're done here.
February 11, 2026 at 9:09 PM
SO DO YOU. SO DO WE ALL. But you're sitting here getting into a pissing contest about it instead of using it. Again: OVER IT. And so is she, which is why she's frustrated, and I can't blame her. Dems at all levels would rather sit around and whine right now than DO SOMETHING. It's disgusting.
February 11, 2026 at 7:56 PM
You could have just stopped at "You'd be the idiot" and been just as accurate. It's time to block this bad-faith troll and move on. We're not going to get through to his doom-obsessed brain (just had a look at his profile).
February 11, 2026 at 7:54 PM
Maybe y'all should all stop arguing among yourselves long enough to lock arms and stop the actual existential threat we're facing. Have none of you ever thought of that? NO, because the left would rather set up the circular firing squad than save itself, every damn time. I'm so over it.
February 11, 2026 at 7:52 PM
No, you and folks like you are refusing to learn that others are willing to say they were wrong, leave the folks they were wrong with, and try to do better, and you're dragging us down, too. You're not better than they are. You're just as bad. And THAT, I cannot abide.
February 11, 2026 at 7:51 PM
Tom has already said he always split his ticket, so I'm not sure you have a leg to stand on here. You're trying really hard to claim a moral high ground that isn't based on reality, and you're taking us all down with you. Please stop.
