Finally finished my side quest that is crocheting a baby blanket which means I have time to get some reading in! Although now I kind of want to make a cute lil book sleeve for myself? 🧶♥️

A lil book haul over from this past weekend. Grabbed Butter by Asako Yuzuki since my book club is picking back up! I was able to snag The Grey Wolf from the Indigo book giveaway and snagged Atmosphere because why not. 😅📚💙

Spent the afternoon at a coffee shop with my book. Sat next to a group of two other women doing the same thing. The sun was shining and the fountain nearby murmuring away. Felt a little like a silent book club.
Basically a perfect afternoon, the kind I would write poetry about if I could. ☀️📚💙

Just finished Danielle L. Jensen’s Saga of the Unfated duology!
Book 1 was a really good setup for book 2 where I think things got really good for me. I could not put it down once things started unfolding.
4⭐️. Loved the worldbuilding, the politics, and the complexity of the characters.

Some days just call for putting on a cute outfit and walking around the bookstore so that’s what I did. 😌

I couldn’t put down Devney Perry’s Shield of Sparrows. It became clear where it was headed but there was still enough intrigue and mystery that kept me hooked. Also really enjoyed the world building on this one.
5⭐️ and now I need to know what happens next?! 😩

I was skeptical going into Ali Hazelwood’s Problematic Summer Romance but she got me hooked. The build up and the tension was just so insanely good.
I don’t gravitate towards age gap romances and find myself weary of them but I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

How am I supposed to go on knowing that the next book isn’t out yet? 🥲
Rachel Gillig has outdone herself with The Knight and the Moth. The beautiful prose, the worldbuilding, but most of all the absolutely endearing characters and their dynamics. Absolutely phenomenal.
5⭐️, no notes.

I don’t believe Silver Elite by Dani Francis lives up to the hype but I’m also unsure if the hate is fully warranted. Marketing it as a dystopian novel was the wrong call — it lacks the depth/political commentary I expect from the genre.
2.5⭐️, didn’t love it but also didn’t hate it.

All my lights are dimmed, I got my book, and I can hear the sound of rain outside my window. 😌🌧️☕️
It’s been feeling so hectic for some time now and it feels so good to be able to slow down and just read. 📚💙

A cute lil stack of Katherine Center’s books. I love the flowers so much. 💐💙📚
The Canadian in me had to make a conscious effort not to spell her last name as “Centre” 😅

Finished Abby Jimenez’s Say You’ll Remember Me and I was bawling towards the end. 😭
As usual, she has the romance/chemistry and emotional aspects down (absolutely love Xavier) but the writing fell a little bit flat for me on this one – the constant pop culture references was kinda jarring.

I just finished Laura Steven’s Our Infinite Fates. 💙📚
Overall, a very enjoyable read. I absolutely loved the writing — the prose was beautiful and poignant and just wow. I was thoroughly invested in the story and how it all ties together. I thought it was all beautifully done. 🥺✨
