She talked about it many years ago. I guess there were many things planned ahead that took precedence: the Greatest Hits, the memoir, the Christmas album, and those nice vinyl reissues by WEA (A Man's World, Believe, Living Proof, Closer To The Truth, and even The Farewell Tour earlier this month).

I like how she just sticks with what she enjoys doing, without the constant need to "reinvent" herself for the market. 'Nothing Is Impossible' is one of my favorites as well, along with 'In Your Feelings' and the title track. Girl knows how to carry those power ballads and cozy R&B tunes.
