Or is it simply the case that there is room for both? Any evolution in the current landscape is encouraging to see but a large basis of some newsletters seems to take news from mainstream sites, rehash it, link back and deliver without the ads then gain income from subscriptions

I’d like to understand more about how sustainable newsletters are as a source, folk will still look for breaking news and are used to receiving it in real time which takes a lot of work and resources so aside from delivering in depth content / round ups how will they keep up?

Lots of locals reminiscing about Hogmanay’s spent at the Tron long before it was heavily commercialised - also long before my time but will be interesting to see if there are any crowds braving the weather to bring back some nostalgic NYE magic tonight

Organisers have rearranged for Hot Dub Time Machine who was due to play tonight to perform at the Assembly Hall tomorrow but tickets are £55+ when original tickets were only £33 leaving many scunnered

An RMT spokesperson told us: “Our members have resoundingly rejected Avanti’s latest offers in two referendums and sustained strike action is now the only way to focus management’s minds on reaching a negotiated settlement with the union.”
