National Hispanic Heritage Month started as a week in 1968 under Pres. Johnson: "The people of Hispanic descent are the heirs of missionaries, captains, soldiers, and farmers who were motivated by a young spirit of adventure, and a desire to settle freely in a free land. This heritage is ours."

Trades Vocab: Double Bubble. This is referring to the pay scale for specific conditions, resulting in being twice what you normally are paid or double time. This is not a benefit that everyone as it is negotiated into union contracts. It typically refers to days such as Sundays or holidays.

“I just signed the book.” Did you publish a book? No, this is a phrase used in the trades when you are unemployed. If your job has ended and you are laid off, you will now go to the union hall and sign the Out of Work Book system. Originally, it was a physical book, but it can be a virtual system.

IA OSHA adopted the Biden Admin. U.S. Dept of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Admin's revision to the personal protective equipment standard for construction. It explicitly requires the equip. to properly fit any construction worker who needs it, improving protections from hazardous conditions.
