Last year, the FT reported a drop of 1/3rd in 'daily active users' in UK, which is not the same as 'people who left' but gives an indication. Also confirmed that 'socially conservative' users mostly stayed put (which may mean 'kept their account' or 'continued to use it actively' I guess).

Have we seen any evidence at all that there's a point where these people will have enough and will stop trying to further enrich themselves at the expense of others? They will always want more. We can choose between compliantly giving them everything slowly, or drawing a line in the sand now.

A lot of researchers predicted this outcome to the HGP. I enjoyed the article - I didn't know this about Parkinson's - but this was an unfortunate misstep re autism I thought.
