I believe this is a crucial issue for women, but I also want people to be able to afford insurance. I would have preferred that she didn’t have any financial incentive to push this bill through.

The governor has included in next years budget more coverage for menopause treatments but modified it in order to keep insurance cost down.

Most insurance companies cover traditional therapies for menopause. The bill would have covered non traditional treatments. H Berry is acting in her company’s best interests and her own financial well-being. Higher premiums could lead to some people dropping out of insurance altogether.

It was vetoed because it would have increased healthcare premiums for everyone, which are already high. Gavin asked the state for a balanced solution. Also Halle Berry owns a business dedicated to menopause and would have profited if such a bill had passed.

Everyone involved in these strikes will eventually face indictment from the International Court of Justice in The Hague. War crimes have no statute of limitations. Hegseth and this administration have declared this a war.
